Ultraview Web Source
The Ultraview Web Source provides clinicians with the capability to connect to remote care sites via an Internet-based web browser. A Java-based user interface running inside a standard web browser collates data and presents it to clinicians in a consistent, easy-to-use format. Using the Ultraview Web Source, clinicians have access to integrated information from multiple existing clinical and administrative systems and medical devices.

The Ultraview Web Source enables a medical specialist to confer with a primary care physician on diagnosis, therapeutic planning, and patient education for patients who are in another location. It has strong potential to improve healthcare, especially in outlying areas that lack access to specialists, as well as to improve costs by reducing the need for patient transfers and specialist visits. Through the Ultraview Gateway, the network interface that provides communication between healthcare information systems and Spacelabs' monitoring products, clinicians can also view vital signs, reference-quality streaming waveforms, and physiological calculations. The Ultraview Clinical Messenger can enhance the Ultraview Care Network's™ primary-alarms features with secondary notification by forwarding patient alarm information to a Motorola pager in 4 to 8 seconds.

Web Source utilizes a Java-based user interface running inside a standard web browser. By using web browser technology, it integrates with current internet/intranet communication strategies including e-mail.
