Adjustable Locking Technologies LLC (ALT) began manufacturing the steel Variloc® incremental locking hinge in 1997. The first application for the Variloc® Hinge was to adjust the leg rest of a pediatric wheelchair.
A wide variety of Variloc® models followed, including hinges in aluminum, stainless steel and plastic with various mounting flanges. New technologies followed; Infiloc® Hinges provide infinite adjustability and RocLoc® Hinges optimize the adjustability options in smaller sized applications.
