Books about Fetal Monitoring
MTR Ltd. MTR is a high-tech start-up company that operates under the umbrella of the ISFAR group. Its main goal is to develop, market and sale products in the area of Obstetrical Surveillance and Archiving systems, for labor and delivery purposes. The Argus-4 is a Central Labor monitoring system for Obstetrics Departments in Hospitals. The system is based on a computer network: PC inside each labor room of the Labor department, and a central monitor viewing station to overview the whole Department. The computer network system (Windows NT) allows a two ways communication between the rooms and the server, so data can be analyzed in real time and displayed on any monitor in the department. A printing device is connected to the Argus-4 so hard prints of chosen events could be provided if necessary. Bed Side Screen System Features: The bedside station is connected through a special cable to an analog monitor, which monitors every bed. The Argus collects from this monitor analog data about the Fetus heart beat rate, and the contractions, diverts it into digital data and performs: -Display the FHR/Toco graphs on the PC screen, replacing the traditional paper.-Archive all labor data on the server's H.D. -Process the data, providing real-time interpretation and alerting to any fetal distress situation that might occur.
