FBT works where existing diagnostics fall short

It's important that your veterinarian make a complete and accurate diagnosis as quickly as possible. But let's face it. Existing methods of diagnosing digestive tract conditions are limited.

Gastric endoscopy is reliable, but costly, and few veterinarians possess a 3-meter endoscope. Further, endoscopy cannot reach the hindgut to help in the diagnosis of colonic ulcers.

Many veterinarians and owners alike rely on symptoms to guide their diagnosis. But this approach is hindered by the fact that symptoms typically associated with digestive tract injury may also be associated with a variety of other conditions. And using treatment as diagnosis requires incurring an expense while waiting days, or even weeks, to determine if the course of action was the right one. By then, it may be too late.

Provides objective data from the entire GI tract

The SUCCEED® Equine Fecal Blood Test™ is an important tool to aid in the veterinarian's diagnosis of digestive tract conditions, by providing objective data that indicates issues throughout the GI tract in just minutes.

The SUCCEED® FBT combines the easy-to-use features of rapid ELISA technology — the gold standard for simple field diagnostics — with completely new technology for a revolutionary approach to equine GI health diagnostics.

The SUCCEED® FBT utilizes exclusive SmartSignal™ Technology, new proprietary antibody technology (patent pending), highly sensitive and specific to particular protein components in equine blood.

Easy to use anywhere

The FBT consists of two parts right on one convenient test cassette. The antibody technology detects two protein markers specific to equine blood. Test A detects equine albumin from sources caudal to the common bile duct in the duodenum. Test H detects equine hemoglobin from sources at any location along the GI tract. Taken together, the two parts of the test may provide a means of distinguishing foregut and hindgut issues in horses.

This leading edge technology is packaged into a single, simple dual test cassette. It’s easy to use anywhere, and the results are clear within minutes.
