Onyx is at least a two million year old mineral which is found
deep inside rugged mountains. Onyx is almost fifty percent softer than nails.
The pattern and design are solely the whim of nature. No artificial surface is
added. The Mirror like finish is achieved by simply grinding and polishing the
stone. Occasional cavities lined with Onyx are present and are natural for
this type of mineral. However, these lines are less common and are found in
the highest grade stone thus making this mineral more valuable.
